Sisters lifting spirits & raising funds for CHI at Crumlin
Sisters, Amanda and Valerie Darcy ran a crèche together for 25 years in their home town of Ballinasloe. Having taken early retirement in 2017, they were both keen to do some good with their time. It was when they found a stock of balloons, unused from their crèche days, that a fundraising idea was born.

Lucy’s mam Carleen calls her 7-year-old daughter “a fabulous little lady". But in the first weeks after Lucy’s birth, Carleen wasn’t sure she’d ever be able to take her precious baby home.

Take part in the Waterford Viking Virtual Marathon for Children’s Health Foundation
Take part and represent Children’s Health Foundation between June 24th to June 272th 2021, completing your run on any of these days. You can choose your own route, and decide whether to run a full, half, or quarter marathon distance.
Kylan was delivered by emergency C-section at only 27 weeks, 4 days due to Intrauterine Growth Restriction. He was tiny, weighing less than a bag of sugar at 650 grams. The first few weeks were such a blur but I will never forget how tiny and frail he was.
