CMRF Crumlin is currently undertaking door to door fundraising in locations around Ireland. Door to door fundraising is one of the best ways for us to raise awareness, increase our income and gain new monthly donors.
Door to door fundraising involves teams of fundraisers calling to people’s homes to tell them about CMRF Crumlin and the vital work we carry out, they will ask you for your support by setting up a monthly direct debit. These door-to-door fundraisers are a very important part of the team. They have been well trained and will be able to tell you all about how we CARE for children in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and how we fund research into new CURES for sick children at The National Children's Research Centre.
Our door to door fundraisers will never ask for cash donations and cannot accept cash donations at the door.
How can I be sure the person at my door is a legitimate fundraiser?
Genuine CMRF Crumlin fundraisers will carry an ID badge with them at all times. It will be properly printed, not photocopied or hand written. They will also be wearing a CMRF Crumlin branded jacket (however on very warm days this may not be the case).
If you have any doubts at all, ask the fundraiser for more information – a genuine fundraiser will be happy to answer questions and explain more about CMRF Crumlin’s work.
If you are still concerned please feel free to contact us and we will put your mind at ease.
How are monthly donations used?
Monthly donations will help thousands of sick children at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin by purchasing new lifesaving medical equipment, refitting and modernising wards and ensuring first class patient and parent facilities at a time when they need it most. Monthly gifts also help fund life-changing medical research at the National Children’s Research Centre (NCRC). Research enables us develop cures for immunology, inflammation and infectious diseases, paediatric cancer, birth defects and genetic diseases and perform clinical trials and patient studies.
What time do fundraisers start and finish calling at?
Door-to-door fundraisers work Monday to Saturday between the hours of 12:00 noon and 8:30pm as this is when most people are at home.
Are my personal details and banking details shared with anyone?
Not at all, all data acquired is encrypted so your details are 100% safe and secure. Please also be assured that when you do pledge your monthly support your personal details are transmitted securely in compliance with industry standards.
Why does CMRF Crumlin use a third party supplier?
Running a year-round door-to-door fundraising campaign requires an extensive amount of resources and expertise. Our door-to-door partner, Appco Group Support, is one of Ireland’s most well respected face-to-face fundraising organisations.
Who should I contact if I want to cancel my direct debit?
You can contact CMRF Crumlin directly on 01 709 1700 to cancel or reduce your direct debit amount.
