Today’s research, tomorrow’s cure
The National Children’s Research Centre (NCRC) is the largest children’s research centre in Ireland. It is supported entirely by your donations to Children's Health Foundation Crumlin, formerly CMRF Crumlin.
The NCRC supports the best and most promising paediatric research. Their goal – to find new ways of diagnosing and treating sick children. By providing world-class facilities, as well as financial support via their competitive grants, the NCRC enables researchers to unravel the mysteries surrounding some of the most serious diseases affecting our children. Through this research, they aim to ensure that all children receive the best and most effective treatments possible.
NCRC funded researchers have made important discoveries about many diseases of childhood including Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Allergies, Eczema, Congenital Malformations and Irritable Bowel Disease.
Below is a selection of research stories, highlighting just some of the work carried out by NCRC researchers in the last few years. If you would like to learn more, please visit the NCRC website here or follow them on Twitter.
