‘Formal Friday’ this Friday 24th April in aid of CMRF Crumlin
We are delighted to be announced as one of Communicorps’ charity recipients of its ‘Formal Friday’ campaign taking place this Friday 24th April.
Listeners of all five Communicorps’ national radio stations are being encouraged to dress up in their best attire – think wedding/bridesmaid/debs dresses and suits/tuxedos as they work from home. Encompassing all of Communicorps radio stations – Today FM, 98 FM, Newstalk FM, Spin 103.8 FM and Spin South West FM the campaign is fundraising for nine hospital foundations in Ireland.
During the COVID-19 crisis most people are working from home, and foregoing the usual office attire in favour of more casual comfortable clothes. So listeners of Communicorps’ radio stations are being encouraged to dress up in support of Ireland’s frontline workers who have been at the forefront of the response to the crisis. All donations will be shared amongst the nine hospital foundations that are part of the campaign.
This campaign compliments the ‘Together With Our Heroes’ Appeal launched in response to the great need of the COVID-19 crisis. As the COVID-19 crisis deepens across Ireland and around the globe, the teams in our hospitals - CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street and Connolly - are working harder than ever to provide the same world-class care to sick children who need it most.
Commenting on the ‘Together With Our Heroes’ Appeal, Chief Executive of CMRF Crumlin, which is part of the Children’s Health Foundation family, Denise Fitzgerald says; “In these unprecedented times we are asking the public to support the patients and staff in CHI children's hospitals, by helping us provide the support they and their families need at this time. Public support has never been as important as it is now to ensure we can continue to support the on-going work in CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street and Connolly. Your donation will be put to work where it is most urgently needed in all our children’s hospitals. By supporting this appeal, we can help our heroes to keep providing world-class care to Ireland’s sickest children.”
