Dalata Digs Deep to Donate
Childhood illness takes too much, and Dalata Hotel Group are Digging Deep to do whatever it takes for sick children, to give them back their smiles, their fun, the wonder and magic of childhood. To date, Dalata has raised over €800,000 to support the work of CMRF Crumlin.
The majority of these funds raised have been invested in a substantive piece of research work in Neuroblastoma; a cancer of the nervous system that primarily affects children aged five.
Only through research will it be possible to improve outcomes and develop more effective, personalised treatment with reduced toxicity. Dalata is helping fund two research projects related to neuroblastoma. One project is trying to identify new microRNA biomarkers that can be used in a blood test in the future to predict which treatments will work best for each individual patient. While the other project is trying to repair and improve the immune system’s natural capacity to detect and destroy neuroblastoma cells.
At the core of this company is the staff’s energy and passion for supporting children’s health. CMRF Crumlin would like to sincerely thank Dalata Hotel Group for joining all the parents, families, doctors, nurses, and scientists who are fighting every single day to protect and save children from childhood illness.
