51 employees from Avis Budget Ireland converged in Kildare on the morning of the 5th March to complete the Run-A-Muck Challenge and raise funds for CMRF Crumlin. The group consisted of staff from all its nationwide locations plus senior management, including company Director/CEO Raymond McConn.
To complete the Runamuck race, each member of the team had to run either 5k or 10k through bale "jumps", net scrambles, slides, tarzan swings, freezing cold ditches & streams, tyres, tunnels and more! Avis Budget Ireland then generously agreed to match whatever funds the employees raised on the day.
Raymond McConn, CEO of Avis Budget Ireland said: ‘It was a great success’. He was thrilled that so many employees had come out to support such a worthy cause: ‘It was a real fun day and thoroughly enjoyed by all participants’.
‘Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin has touched the lives of many of our employees. We are delighted to have fundraised for such a worthy cause’.
An incredible €18,850 was raised, which will contribute to the No.10 Fund, supporting cardiac services at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin including state of the art facilities and cutting edge research into childhood cardiac anomalies.
